Dr. Steven E. Harms was a postdoctoral fellow of Paul Lauterbur and is now a MRI world expert. He was formerly a faculty at the University of Arkansas, Dallas' Baylor University, and M.D Anderson Cancer Institute. He is past president of the Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and received the 1995 AMA William Beaumont Award. Harms was named "Komen Foundation Scientist of the Year" by Susan G. Komen for the Cure in 1998.
